


Dr. T. Gordon Handy, Jr., or "Dr. Gordon" as he is known to his patients, completed his undergraduate studies at The University of North Carolina. He stayed at Carolina to pursue his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree, graduating from The UNC School of Dentistry with Honors. Dr. Gordon was subsequently one of two dentists accepted into the Orthodontic Graduate Program of The University of Kentucky. After completing the three-year orthodontic program, he received a Certificate in Orthodontics and a Master of Science degree from Kentucky.
Dr. Gordon is a member in good standing of the American Dental Association, the American Association of Orthodontists, the Southern Association of Orthodontists, the North Carolina Dental Society, the Forsyth County Dental Society and the Davidson County Dental Society. He has completed courses of study at the Charles H. Tweed Foundation for International Research in Tucson, Arizona and the Pankey Institute in Key Biscayne, Florida. Dr. Gordon has also successfully completed Phase I and Phase II of the American Board of Orthodontics certification process. He currently serves on the Cleft Lip/Palate team at Forsyth Memorial Hospital.
When not involved with orthodontics, Dr. Gordon can usually be found pursuing one of his many outdoor interests, always accompanied by his faithful canine sidekicks, Bonnie Blue, Jakey & Ben. Dr. Gordon loves to fly fish, hunt upland birds and waterfowl, play basketball and soccer, water and snow ski, read sporting and classic literature, and listen to a wide variety of music. Ever heard that song, "Wish I Was A Cowboy"?!
